I am interested in human impacts to wildlife communities, particularly in areas peripheral to protected areas. More specifically, I am interested in how land-cover change affects wildlife movements, habitat selection and biodiversity indicators. I use remote sensing and satellite telemetry as tools to investigate these questions.
I am interested in the persistence of wild places. I enjoy the usual outdoor pursuits, playing ice hockey, travel, single malt, and being in the middle of nowhere.
